The Portfolio Project - Call to Easthampton Artists

Easthampton City Arts is developing an Easthampton Artists Portfolio Reference Library and Resource Center, which will contain portfolio books of ECA members. To get your free binder and materials to create your Portfolio Book please either email at info@easthamptoncityarts.com or give a call at (413)527-8278 (UART).

Not an ECA member yet? Visit the ECA website to see the requirements and sign up!

NOW THE FUN PART!

We hope that these Portfolios won’t just contain your contact information, but that they will be a creative representation of the work that you do. Include an actual drawing or painting, make a collage of images of your furniture…think outside the box and make this an “artist’s book” that speaks for you! All we ask is that the binder can be closed reasonably and that you leave the spine empty.

ECA has sent a mass mailing out to an extensive list of Interior Designers, Galleries, and collectors from around New England and beyond and we will be using the reference library as a resource for them to peruse. This Portfolio will be just one more way to get your name and work in front of people who may be interested in seeing more and contacting you.

Information to include in your Portfolio:

► Contact information ► An artist’s statement

► Websites and Blog info ► Resume

► A biography or history ► Newspaper articles

► CD or DVD with images, videos, your music, etc.

► Images or examples of your work, whether it be writing, woodworking, fine craft, or fine art. Find some way to present your work in a creative, clear, and interesting way.

► Or anything else you feel is relevant and interesting about you and your work.

Again, get creative, have fun!

If you’d like to see sample portfolios (at least 40 to date!), please come to ECA Gallery and check them out!

Funds for the creation of the reference library have been awarded to Easthampton City Arts by the Massachusetts Cultural Council.
